The Milton Keynes College Students of the Year Awards ceremony took place at The Silverstone Wing. It offers the very best in conference and event facilities. The venue is situated in the heart of the world-famous Grand Prix Circuit at Silverstone. It made a stunning venue for such a wonderful event!
It was a pleasure to meet our category winner, Daryna Balabanyk. She came to the UK last summer from Ukraine. She has worked extremely hard to develop her digital skills. Her strength of character and motivation to achieve make her truly deserve this award.
The MK College Food & Catering students made incredible food for the event.
Education has played a transformative role in Visual Identity’s story, and for Managing Director Jacqui Newham (Wilkins), it remains a lifelong passion. Having attended a 1970s comprehensive school in Bletchley, she credits a teacher’s encouragement for inspiring her to pursue higher education—a decision that changed the course of her life.
“It could have gone a very different way,” Jacqui explains. “I’m passionate about doing what I can to help young people get the same opportunities I’ve had.”
This passion for education continues to drive her work. She mentors young creatives to support initiatives like MK College’s awards and projects. An example of this is Worktree’s ‘Find Your Job!’ card games, which help students explore future career paths.
At Visual Identity, we believe in the power of education and creativity to unlock potential. Seeing the incredible achievements of students at the MK College Students of the Year Awards reaffirms the importance of nurturing young talent.
It was amazing to hear about MK College’s ‘Community Impact In Action.’ In 2023 alone, over 600 staff and students volunteered in the community. They supported 35 organisations and projects across Milton Keynes.
We’d like to congratulate all the winners of this year’s Milton Keynes College Students of the Year Awards. Their achievements are truly fantastic. It was great to meet with our fellow event sponsors.
