International Women‘s Day Event: A night to remember
International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate women’s achievements. It raises awareness against gender bias and inequality. The day serves as a platform to advocate for gender parity. This year, Holdenby House hosted an amazing event, Celebrating Women and Empowerment. It was a memorable experience for everyone who attended.
The event was organised by Dawn Girardi of Pegasus. She had the vision to bring together a group of fabulous women. The goal was to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event was a huge success, and it was a beautiful celebration of womanhood, empowerment, and progress.
Celebrating Women and Empowerment speakers
One of the highlights of the Celebrating Women and Empowerment evening was the incredible lineup of women speakers. Each speaker brought unique perspectives and powerful stories to the stage.
Hannah Ingram-Moore, daughter of the late Sir Captain Tom Moore, shared the story behind the story—his impact on the world and how he inspired her during the lockdown. Lesley Clarke shared her tips on how to dress with confidence. Sara Homer broke the stigma of being a woman in a man’s world, sharing her inspiring journey and experiences. Claire Harrison motivated and inspired women to break down barriers to equality, encouraging them not to hold back.
The speeches were inspiring and motivating, and conversations focused on promoting equity and empowering women for a better future. I was honoured to receive an invitation to attend the event and grateful for the opportunity to share my thoughts with such a wonderful group of women.
One of the key objectives of the event was to raise awareness of @breastfriendsnorthampton. This fantastic local charity provides support and assistance to women affected by breast cancer. Attendees were deeply moved and inspired by the stories shared by the charity. The event created an opportunity to show support and solidarity for those impacted by breast cancer. The evening was a huge success in this regard. An impressive £1,184 was raised for the charity. This achievement was a testament to the power of community. It demonstrated the impact women have when they support one another.
Being part of the Celebrating Women and Empowerment event
Attending the Celebrating Women and Empowerment event was a great honour, and everyone who attended had a fantastic time. The evening was filled with positivity, joy, a sense of community – and cake! We spoke to all the wonderful women who attended the event. Many acknowledged the impact of our words. It was a powerful reminder that we need more equality and empowerment for all women. We must continue working toward that goal.

It was an amazing success, we really enjoyed the Celebrating Women and Empowerment event. We cannot wait for 2024 to see what she has planned next!
